MacKenzie is originally from Ohio, where she grew up on a small farm raising goats. She learned at a young age she had a love for animals. She started her journey in veterinary medicine at a small animal clinic in Oregon as a Veterinary Assistant in 2021. She and her husband moved to the Durango area in 2022. MacKenzie enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and son. She also loves hanging out with her chickens.
