Elise is originally from St. Louis, MO. She graduated from Emory University in Atlanta with her B.S. in Anthropology and Human Biology in 2015 and from Washington University in St. Louis with her M.A. in Nonprofit Management in 2020. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she decided to leave the nonprofit sector and pursue her passion for animals by beginning a career in the veterinary field. She adores working at Riverview because of both her amazing team of coworkers and the adorable patients she meets daily. In her personal time, Elise enjoys traveling, reading, painting, and listening to music. You can often find her in downtown Durango playing Pokemon Go with her partner Taylor and their two dogs, Azula and Katara.
