Dr. Carly Stephens developed a deep-rooted love of all animals at a very young age growing up on a horse farm in Virginia. Dr. Carly received her undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech and went on to pursue her DVM from North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017 with a specialization in dog, cat and exotic animal medicine. She loves the relationships she gets to make with patients and their owners and is excited to meet the community of Durango! Specifically, she is interested in surgery, geriatric care, and sports medicine. Dr. Carly is currently getting certified in canine physical rehabilitation and will be able to do physical therapy-like treatments on patients. When not treating patients, she enjoys rock climbing, skiing, and running with her pit bull mix, Chloe. She knows how special it is to be able to enjoy the outdoors with your dog and wants to be able to share that by helping all pets stay fit, happy and healthy for as long as possible. She lives in Durango with her two rescue kitties (Olive and Popcorn Chicken) and her dog, Chloe.
