Alexis grew up in El Paso, TX. She grew up with dogs and horses that she cared for deeply, and knew from a young age she would pursue a career helping animals. She attended New Mexico State University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science in 2022. During school she worked as a Veterinary Receptionist and as a Veterinary Assistant. She and her boyfriend had an opportunity to move to the beautiful city of Durango, so they packed their bags! Alexis is currently working on becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician and beyond that hopes to attend veterinary school to become a doctor. In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching movies, fishing, and hiking with her dog.
